The "Lungomare dei cantautori del XX secolo" is a scenic route of about two kilometers that combines music and nature. The path, which connects the mouth of the Aso River to the border with Campofilone, is marked by artistic underpasses dedicated to the giants of Italian song.
Walking along the Pedaso coast means immersing yourself in a poetic atmosphere along the “Lungomare dei cantautori del XX secolo”. This itinerary of about two kilometers starts from the mouth of the Aso River — where the characteristic small fishing port dedicated to leisure activities is located — and runs parallel to the bike path that leads to Campofilone. The true uniqueness of the path lies in its accesses to the beach: a series of underpasses dedicated to the great poets of Italian music. As you walk, you encounter the names of Fabrizio De André, Giorgio Gaber, Luigi Tenco, and Pierangelo Bertoli, followed by the immortal melodies of Domenico Modugno, Sergio Endrigo, and Lucio Battisti. It is a route where the maritime identity of the village merges with the memory of the great artists of the twentieth century, offering passersby a cultural stop amidst the scent of the sea and the sound of the waves.
Built in the early 19th century by the Sinibaldi family and later passed to the counts Maggiori and the Murri family, this historic brick residence has served over time as a municipal seat, a school, and a polyclinic. Surrounded by a large garden accessible from two entrances, the villa represents today a fundamental piece of the historical and social memory of Porto Sant'Elpidio.
The Abbey Church of San Bartolomeo, rebuilt in the second half of the 19th century, stands out for its Greek cross layout and the richness of its interiors. The frescoes by the painter Fontana, along with the marble decorations and the figures of saints created by his student Nicola Achilli, make it a small treasure of sacred art.
This is a municipal villa in Liberty style, surrounded by a large garden, which becomes a vibrant cultural space with events and exhibitions during the summer. Since 2012, it also hosts a private collection of maritime objects, making it a place that combines architectural elegance with historical interest.
