Porto turistico peschereccio

The Marina of Porto San Giorgio is one of the largest facilities in the Adriatic, covering an area of 140,000 square meters and about a thousand boat places. Established in 1984, where the first pier was built in 1954, the port has received nine Blue Flags over the years for its organization and cleanliness. In addition to recreational boating, it houses an area dedicated to fishing, an activity that evolved from ancient techniques of the 1500s to a more organized system by the mid-19th century.

The symbol of this tradition is La Vittoriosa, an 80-year-old fishing boat over 9 meters long. It is the only “lancetta” still sailing in Italian waters and the last remaining of the old fishing fleet from Southern Marche. The boat features a brightly colored sail, orange with a large red sun, and is used for events and itineraries that tell the story and maritime traditions of the central Adriatic.
