Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi is located in Marina di Altidona, the coastal area of the municipality, close to the seafront and beach access points.
If travelling by car, Marina di Altidona can be reached via the SS16 Adriatica, the main coastal road connecting the towns of the Fermo Riviera. For those arriving from the A14 motorway, the most convenient exits are Pedaso or Porto San Giorgio/Fermo, depending on the direction of travel. Once in Marina di Altidona, follow the signs for the village centre, the seafront and Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi.
The nearest railway station is Pedaso. From there, Marina di Altidona can be reached in a few minutes by taxi, local bus or, for those who prefer a slower pace, also on foot along the coast, after checking the most suitable route.
Alternatively, visitors can arrive at Porto San Giorgio–Fermo railway station and continue towards Marina di Altidona by local transport, taxi or private car.
Parking spaces and small parking areas are available near Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi and the Marina di Altidona seafront, especially close to the beach and bathing establishments.
Visitors are advised to check local signs on site, especially during the summer season and on event days, when traffic arrangements, parking availability and parking rules may vary.
The Polenta Festival with snails returns to Altidona from August 1 to 4. Founded in 1974 to promote an ancient local dish, it combines tradition, authentic flavors, and village life in the historic center, with free entry for citizens and visitors.
The Sea Festival celebrates the maritime tradition of Porto San Giorgio for a week with concerts, guided tours, exhibitions, and shows. The most anticipated moment is the Giant Pan of the Adriatic, featuring fried fish and a tribute to the Fallen at sea.
Crystal of Dance is an immersive festival dedicated to the art of dance on the waterfront of Porto San Giorgio. At Bambinopoli, workshops, masterclasses, live performances, and a Grand Gala with an international award enhance dance, talent, and training.
