The eighth GAIA Photography Contest, “Light That Tastes of Salt”, portrays everyday Mediterranean life: the sea as landscape, memory, identity and way of life, shaped by light, relationships, traditions, food, work and shared gestures.

The tourist marina is located along the southern seafront of Porto San Giorgio. It can be reached by car via the A14 motorway, taking the Porto San Giorgio–Fermo exit, or along the SS16 Adriatica road.
Porto S. Giorgio–Fermo railway station is conveniently located close to the town centre and the seafront. From the station, the marina can be reached by local transport, taxi or with a longer walk.
Parking areas are available near the marina and the southern seafront. During busier periods, check local signs and availability.
After the success of previous editions, the “Un mare di libri 4” festival presents five events, from 1 July to 17 October, featuring exceptional guests: Gianluigi Paragone, Dario Fabbri, Alessandro Campi, Tommaso Braccini and Francesca Boldrer.
On July 24 and 25, the Pink Night enlivens Porto San Giorgio, with its waterfront, squares, and streets in the center. For two nights, concerts, shows, entertainment, street performers, markets, and open shops paint the city pink and transform it into a celebration.
The Andrea Postacchini International Violin Competition brings young talents from all over the world to the Teatro dell’Aquila. Since 1994, it has been a reference point for classical music and the cultural tradition of Fermo. The appointment is on May 30, 2026.
