The History of This Place

Campofilone is a small medieval village perched on a hill 6 km from the sea, famous worldwide for its IGP egg maccheroncini. The historic center retains its ancient charm, with narrow alleys, stone houses, and the majestic Collegiate Church of Santa Maria in Castello. The tradition of handmade fresh pasta has been passed down for generations, and every year on Ferragosto, the Sagra dei Maccheroncini is celebrated, attracting thousands of visitors. From the village's belvedere, there is a spectacular view of the Adriatic coast and the surrounding hills.
