The Investiture of the Port Guardian is the historical reenactment that precedes the Bucket Challenge. The parade of participants in historical costumes from the Maritime Village, along with drummers and flag-wavers, concludes at the Rotonda, where the Port Guardian is officially invested in a ceremony that attracts hundreds of curious onlookers and tourists in the city.
The Rotonda Lungomare Centro is located on the Porto Sant’Elpidio seafront, in Viale della Vittoria. It can be reached by car via the A14 motorway, taking the Porto Sant’Elpidio exit, or along the SS16 Adriatica road.
Porto Sant’Elpidio has its own railway station on the Adriatic railway line. From the station, the seafront can be reached on foot or by local transport connections.
Public parking areas and on-street parking spaces are available near the seafront and the town centre. In summer or during events, it is advisable to check local signs and any temporary parking restrictions.
